Accessibility Statement
We want everyone who visits the Orange County Schools website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.
What are we doing?
To help us make the Orange County Schools website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.
The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Orange County Schools website.
How are we doing?
We've worked hard on the Orange County Schools website and believe we've achieved our goal of Level AA accessibility. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but if you do find any problems, please get in touch.
Note about Board of Education Policy 3227, "Web Page Development"
As stated in Orange County Board of Education Policy 3227:
"The school system retains control over what links will be placed on system-related websites; however, the linked sites themselves are not under the control of the school system, its agents, or its employees.
"The school system is not responsible for the contents of any linked site, any link contained in a linked site, or any changes or updates to such sites. The school system provides links as a convenience, and the inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement of the site by the school system.
