Full Service Community School
New Hope Elementary is a Full Service Community School (FSCS).
FSCS are comprehensive centers that engage, educate, and serve, not only students, but all members of the community in which the school is located.
Four Pillars of Community Schools
Integrated Student Support Services
We meet students' physical, mental, and emotional needs through healthcare, meal programs, and more, ensuring they thrive in school.
Expanded and Enriched Learning
We extend learning through after-school and summer programs, combining academics with enrichment and community-based experiences.
Family and Community Engagement
By hosting workshops, offering family advocates, and creating resource-sharing events, we make schools true community hubs.
Collaborative Leadership
We unite students, families, educators, and partners to set goals, share leadership, and empower transformative change in schools.
Family Resource Center
The Family Resource Center (FRC) is a physical space in the the school with emergency supplies such as food, clothing, diapers, and hygiene products available for students, families, and staff who need them. FRCs also include computers and internet access to support families in enrolling in benefits or identifying other forms of support.
Our Family Resource Center at the trailer in the 3rd parking lot entrance and has weekly walk in hours!
School Advisory Board
The School Advisory Board (SAB) is made up of students, guardians, school staff and community members. With input from the school community through the Assets and Needs Assessment (ANA), the SAB will prioritize identified needs by developing a Community School Plan and determine if and how funds should be used to address needs.
